Get a DMOZ Directory Listing

The DMOZ, or ODP (Open Directory Project) is one of the most authorative places to get a link from on the web. Getting a DMOZ listing is like SEO Gold.

The Open Directory Project is a manually edited web directory that has been around for a long time. Thos two factors help give it the massive authority that it has today.

How do I get a Listing

A listing is free to get but its not as easy as submitting your URL. You need to make sure that your site is completely finished and of a good quality. Poor quality sites will not be listed on www.DMOZ.org. You also need to make sure that you submit your site ot the relevant directory.

Some categories don't have editors and can take a long time before they are reviewed. Make sure you only submit once and do not resubmit if your site listing doesn't appear soon. It can take well in excess of one month to get a listing approved on DMOZ.
