Keyword Density is an on page factor that has been used in SEO for a long time. Keyword Density is a measure of the amount of keywords in the body content of a page expressed as a percentage. For example, if you had 100 words on your page and you mentioned your targeted keyword once you would have a keyword density of 1/100 or 1%.
